About

About us:
The Patmos Chronicle is a part of the Catholic apostolate known as Deposit of the Faith. Our motto at Deposit of the Faith is:
“No Catholic Who Knows the Faith Will Ever Leave the Church.”
Our motto reflects our belief that the Catholic faith is the fullness of Christianity and the fullness of God’s revelation to mankind. No one who really understands this and who understands what the Church teaches could, in good conscience, ever leave the Church. Those who do leave the Church never really understood their faith.
Our purpose, then, is to help those Catholics who want to know their faith learn what it is the Church really teaches, rather than what they think it teaches. We believe Biblical literacy is fundamental to this. As St. Jerome said, “Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.” But it is crucial that Scripture be interpreted by the Church,
“…the pillar and ground of the truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15.
We do that through offering classes as well as our Internet apostolate Deposit of the Faith.com. There we offer audio recordings of our classes and lots of other great information on the faith.

About this blog:
The Patmos Chronicle was designed to contain links to articles and files from our classes on Biblical Prophecy and the Book of Revelation. While this is always a popular subject, most of the information readily available on these topics do not reflect the 2,000 years of Catholic teaching concerning them. Our purpose is to teach these subjects from a Catholic perspective while also providing a survey of alternative explanations and theological perspectives in a format easily understandable to the average Catholic layperson.
